Protect Yourself from Social Security Scams | SSA

From https://www.ssa.gov/scam/
--------------------------------------------------
Criminals continue to impersonate SSA and other government agencies in an attempt to obtain personal information or money.
Scammers might call, email, text, write, or message you on social media claiming to be from the Social Security Administration or the Office of the Inspector General. They might use the name of a person who really works there and might send a picture or attachment as "proof."

Wisdom from Warren Buffett

Excerpt from https://www.berkshirehathaway.com/news/nov1025.pdf

My advice: Don't beat yourself up over past mistakes – learn at least a little from them and move on. It is never too late to improve. Get the right heroes and copy them.

Don't count on a newsroom mix-up: Decide what you would like your obituary to say and live the life to deserve it.

Greatness does not come about through accumulating great amounts of money, great amounts of publicity or great power in government. When you help someone in any of thousands of ways, you help the world. Kindness is costless but also priceless. Whether you are religious or not, it's hard to beat The Golden Rule as a guide to behavior.

Keep in mind that the cleaning lady is as much a human being as the Chairman.

It's never too late to change. Remember to thank America for maximizing your opportunities. But it is – inevitably – capricious and sometimes venal in distributing its rewards.

Choose your heroes very carefully and then emulate them. You will never be perfect, but you can always be better.

Fwd: The Senior Alphabet Will Make You Laugh

New Alphabet:

A is for apple, and B is for boat,
That used to be right, but now it won't float!
Age before beauty is what we once said,
But let's be a bit more realistic instead.

The Alphabet For Seniors:

A
's for arthritis
B's the bad back
C's the chest pains, perhaps car-di-ac?

D is for dental decay and decline,
E is for eyesight, can't read that top line!
F is for fissures and fluid retention,
G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.

H is for high blood pressure - I'd rather it low;
I for incisions with scars you can show.
J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend,
K is for knees that crack when they bend.

L 's for libido, what happened to sex
M is for memory, I forget what comes next
N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low
O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!

P's for prescriptions, I have quite a few
just give me a pill and I'll be good as new
Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu
R is for reflux, one meal turns to two

S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears
T is for Tinnitus, bells in my ears
U is for urinary, troubles with flow
V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.

W for worry, now what's going 'round?
X is for X ray, and what might be found
Y for another year I'm left here behind

Z is for zest I still have - in my mind!
