Windows as a service

I did not know about that until I received an email from US-CERT few days ago regarding to Microsoft Ending Security Updates for Windows 10 version 1507. I thought Windows 10 released two years ago should have couple years before ending support like Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7... This surprise led me to do more research. Quick guide to Windows as a service had a clear explanation.

So I went to check my Windows 10 version. It was 1511.

To be safe, it should be upgrade to the latest version. But, I got this error: "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800705b4)". It took me at least five hours to research for the solution.

Finally, my goal to upgrade achieved after I downloaded Microsoft Windows Update Assistant to help me update to the latest version of Windows 10. Another three hours to upgrade from Windows 10 version 1511 to Windows 10 version 1703 (build 15063). Well, my familiar terminal window "Command" was hidden and Window PowerShell is a default.

Cloud services actually is a new “marketing” name for servers hosting with some new features. Nothing new. A sinner's playlist

Here is my current playlist for Tuesday and Friday. These prayers keep me, a sinner, a poor, at peace.

“Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.” (Luke, 5:31-32)

A Prayer on the Inauguration of a President

Copied from Franciscan Media's email:

This prayer, from the U.S. edition of the Book of Blessings (no. 1965), is an adaptation of the prayer for the Church and for civil authorities which was composed by Archbishop John Carroll for use on the occasion of the inauguration of George Washington in 1789.

Almighty and eternal God,
you have revealed your glory to all nations.
God of power and might, wisdom and justice,
through you authority is rightly administered,
laws are enacted, and judgment is decreed.

Assist with your spirit of counsel and fortitude
the President of these United States,
that his administration may be conducted in righteousness,
and be eminently useful to your people over whom he/she presides.
May he encourage due respect for virtue and religion.
May he execute the laws with justice and mercy.
May he seek to restrain crime, vice, and immorality.

We likewise commend to your unbounded mercy
all citizens of the United States,
that we be blessed in the knowledge and sanctified in the observance of your holy law.
May we be preserved in union and that peace which the world cannot give;
and, after enjoying the blessings of this life,
be admitted to those which are eternal.

We pray to you, who are Lord and God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will. (Luke 2:14, Douay-Rheims)

With the joy of the Incarnation of God, I wishing you and yours all the best and peace today and tomorrow.
