15 Years Microsoft Certified Professional

I became a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) 15 years ago. At that time, I took the 70-175 exam "Designing and Implementing Distributed Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic 6" twice. It was not an easy test.

The Power of Prayer

Believe it or not, from my own experience since 1973, GOD listened to my prayer and saved me many times.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

How to mount an ISO image file on Windows 7

There is a free unsupported utility from Microsoft ( http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38780 ) called Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel that enables users of Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 to mount ISO disk image files as virtual CD-ROM drives.

I downloaded it, unzipped, moved driver to Windows System folder, configured it and attempted to use. Finally, remove it from my test computer.

Next, go to http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html to get SlySoft Virtual Clone Drive, a freeware. After installed it, I can open the ISO image disk file from Windows Explorer. Virtual Clone Drive is easy to install and use.

How to edit an existing append query in Microsoft Access 2013?‏

If you would like to view or edit the SQL codes of an existing append or delete query from Navigation pane in Microsoft Access 2013, you may not open that query or right-click to see the menu since it's not in design mode.

To open an existing append, update or delete query in design mode: 

1. Open the Microsoft Access 2003 .mdb file while holding the shift key, Access 2013 will open with Navigation pane in design mode. 
2. Select the append query. 
3. Right click. 
4. Select Design View. 
5. Change to SQL View to see SQL statements.

Walking

I love walking. It's good for my health both in physical and mental. I found my peace during the walking. During my sabbatical, I walked at least an hour every day. After I returned to work, I walked at least 30 minutes after my lunch. Sometimes, I found a solution for my problem during my walk.

Slow Down

Looked into the past, I thought I would more success and quickly reached my goals if I slowed down. So, my resolution for this new year is slow down.

I will reading slowly so I can enjoy the writing.
I will drive slowly so I can arrive the destination safely and on time.
