Too old for this

Got an email from technical recruiter. But, I'm too senior for this kind of challenging. Thank, I'm pass. Let young person take this.

Computer technical interview does not alway right especially to an experience software developer.

Liturgy of the Hours - Các Giờ Kinh Phụng Vụ

In case you need it (ICYNI). I used to pray along the Liturgy of the Hours (Divine Office or Breviary) at DivineOffice.org for my own meditation and peace. Now, it opens for new members during this pandemic as detail here:
https://divineoffice.org/divine-office-open-for-new-members/

(You don't need to fill out all information, just email and name that enough)

On Sunday, I pray along in Vietnamese using https://ktcgkpv.org/readings/prayer

According to US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)
http://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/liturgy-of-the-hours/index.cfm :

The Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office or the Work of God (Opus Dei), is the daily prayer of the Church, marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer.

Another web site I like it too. No registration need it.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus,

I believe that You

are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there

and unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.

IBD’S 10 SECRETS TO SUCCESS

From Investor's Business Daily:

1. How you think is everything. Always be positive. Think success, not failure. Beware of negative environments.

2. Decide upon your true dreams and goals. Write down your specific goals and develop a plan to reach them.

3. Take action. Goals are nothing without action. Don't be afraid to get started. Just do it.

4. Never stop learning. Go back to school or read books. Get training and acquire skills.

5. Be persistent and work hard. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up.

6. Learn to analyze details. Get all the facts, all the input. Learn from your mistakes.

7. Focus your time and money. Don't let other people or things distract you.

8. Don't be afraid to innovate, be different. Following the herd is a sure way to mediocrity.

9. Deal and communicate with people effectively. No person is an island. Learn to understand and motivate others.

10.Be honest and dependable; take responsibility. Otherwise numbers 1-9 won't matter.

Cancer Scare Prompts Life-Changing Prayer, Thankfulness, and Renewed Appreciation for Life

Excerpt from Cathi Douglas's article on OC Catholic https://occatholic.com/advent-gratitude/

there’s nothing like facing death to make you take stock of your life. Indeed, my world came to a screeching halt. Life – however briefly – was suddenly precious, my health precarious, and the future uncertain.

With contemplation and prayer, I’ve come to believe God spoke to me in those quiet solitary hours, urging me to count my many blessings, meditate upon His goodness, and showering me with His extraordinary grace.

...
Yet my life has changed significantly; each day feels like a gift, each encounter a unique experience, and I have intimate conversations with God every day.

“If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.” (Retired US Navy Admiral William H. McRaven)

Excerpt from the remarks by Naval Adm. William H. McRaven, ninth commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, at the University-wide Commencement at The University of Texas at Austin on May 17, 2014

...If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.

...If you want to change the world, find someone to help you paddle.

...If you want to change the world, measure a person by the size of their heart, not the size of their flippers.

...If you want to change the world get over being a sugar cookie and keep moving forward.

...But if you want to change the world, don’t be afraid of the circuses.

...If you want to change the world sometimes you have to slide down the obstacle head first.

...So, if you want to change the world, don’t back down from the sharks.

...If you want to change the world, you must be your very best in the darkest moment.

...So, if you want to change the world, start singing when you’re up to your neck in mud.

Finally, in SEAL training there is a bell. A brass bell that hangs in the center of the compound for all the students to see. All you have to do to quit is ring the bell.
Ring the bell and you no longer have to wake up at 5 o’clock. Ring the bell and you no longer have to do the freezing cold swims. Ring the bell and you no longer have to do the runs, the obstacle course, the PT — and you no longer have to endure the hardships of training. Just ring the bell.
If you want to change the world don’t ever, ever ring the bell.
